When we learned that our dear John Williams did not return to conclude the saga that had begun as he had requested, many fans of the magical saga shouted oh sacrilege. I myself was a little disappointed because I thought that only John Williams, the master of masters, could succeed in insufler again the magic locket of the first films in this very dark album. Well, Alexandre Desplat I did not know I was pleasantly surprised! He managed to stick fairly close to a soundtrack of the first components I find the variety of instruments he uses. It's obvious he had a real concern to impose his style but to remain faithful to the world of rocket science. It has darker themes, create new ones (to Snape Malfoy Manor, Deatheaters . . ) while keeping the magic in the air. Success!. Of course, when talking about music and Harry Potter, a name arises in the minds of insiders: John Williams. Myself, I was eager to listen to the great master's work for the seventh component. And when I learned that it would not, I was admittedly a little disappointed. But the name of Alexandre Desplat me smile again! And French and more! I already knew this composer (beautiful soundtrack of Benjamin Button), we have heard most recently with The King's Speech, the composer who is very talented. Maybe not the most spectacular, yet intimate, which can produce a music, an atmosphere that sticks to the film. And the result is very attractive. Some pieces are stronger than others, but all off a harmony, and the universe is respected here, though darker, which is rather positive about the evolution of the saga. We note can be further input with Obliviate, this second piece introducing a particularly successful: Snape Malfoy Manor to; Ministry of Magic, The Locket, or the very successful Lovegood. So I look forward to hearing ringing the last pieces of the second part. I truly believe that Desplat will live up to the task. A small reinterpretation of Hedwig Theme is the most wonderful, all surrounded by original excretion, to accompany a final which I hope will be transcribed as accurately as possible. Although there is much to complain about the quality of the realization of some aspects of the saga (2, 4, 5, 6 and above, to be sad), the fact remains that music is there to console us. So thank the talent of composers like Mr. Desplat, happens, even in hours not always obvious to bring back the spark in us, so we plunge into a world that will never end for us to dream. . I was surprised by Alexandre Desplat I not expect Temp variety in sounds.
