3 Picture Locket

Some time ago I made this series of reliquaries that have small LCD screens inside. They explore the idea of ??what may be the relics of these times. The idea is that the "privacy" is treasured in the future. Currently, the reliquaries review my feed Twitter and photos from Flickr. The idea is to make you think about your own privacy in a digital world and connected. Is a piece that is always evolving and what shows most likely change once I finish it. The shrines are completely handmade, from a sheet of copper. All rivets, hinges and locks were carefully crafted over several weeks. I really enjoyed the cast and hope to do much more in the future. Maybe do some "how to" or some tutorials here on MAKE!. There has been much excitement about the Chumby Guts Kit in the Maker Shed. He had a kit out there in my studio and I was totally naked! That would not be enough, so I decided to use one of my shrines as a box for him. One of my favorite parts of this piece is the mechanism to close.
